Back story: You may remember Sara from a few posts ago. While I was shooting her maternity shots, I mentioned the possibility of doing her birth story. She took it into consideration mainly because her husband, Adam, wouldn't be there for the birth, and it would be a great way to show him the details of the day. He's serving in the military in Afghanistan. During Sara's time in labor, he would call and text to make sure his family was alright. You may have seen shots above of the baby crying into the phone (the first time he heard his daughter's voice) or on Skype on their laptop (the first time he saw her). I really had a first hand appreciation for what members of the military do for our freedoms here in America. Adam missed the birth of his first child to protect all of us here at home.
So between Adam not being there, 15 hours of labor, and the epidural only partially working, this was a very emotional day. I'm so glad I was able to help you document this great event in your lives!
