Ava Shoots Yellowstone

I put my old Nikon D60 in the hands of my five-year-old and this is what happened. These are all of her photos, and the only editing I did to them (besides adding a b/w filter) was straighten a horizon line here and there. She did a great job with her photos that I had to share them.

It was fun to see what inspired her enough to make a photo, and how she would react to what she saw, and ultimately how she would take the photo. While we were out in some of the touristy spots of Yellowstone and making photos, people would stop and watch us. I with my Nikon D700 with a large 70-200 lens, and Ava with her small camera, both crouching down and trying to get a great photo!

Ava's got some promise, and it makes her photographer father proud! She's even got a shot of her's in the newspaper. Not a photo she's in, a photo she took. Yeah. Click here to see it! Scroll down to page 3 and look for the dinosaur.

She did a really good job! What a special thing you two have to share together.
